Originally just considered a relaxing get-away from the hustle and bustle of the artworld Martins sea-, city- and landscapes have now risen to be a poignant part of his artistic body of work. It is here that he can confront his eye as a painter: Can he depict what he wants to depict, or not. That is the challenge. So every painting is painted on the spot- and every vision that interrupts is painted to. All pieces are very small, about 30 x 30 cm or smaller.
